Carter Efe Beats Portable, Wins N50m from E-Money

Lagos-based businessman and socialite Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, has honoured his pledge to award N50 million to comedian Carter Efe following his decisive victory over singer Habeeb Okikiola.

The highly anticipated celebrity bout took place at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, as part of the Chaos in the Ring 4 event.

The match served as the main attraction of the night, drawing attention after weeks of heated exchanges between both entertainers on social media.

Carter Efe emerged victorious by unanimous decision after three rounds, outclassing Portable in what many described as a one-sided contest.

E-Money confirmed the cash reward at the conclusion of the event, after being reminded by the CEO of Balmoral Group Promotions, Ezekiel Adamu.

“You know we put our money where our mouth is, and so congratulations Carter on your win. N50 million for you,” E-Money said.

Adamu, while speaking at the event, commended the organisers and participants for delivering an entertaining spectacle that lived up to expectations.

“We promised Chaos in the Ring and we have delivered very entertaining fights tonight. There is more coming, thanks to everyone that made this a success and to the fighters for the great display,” he said.

The fight itself marked the peak of a rivalry that had been building online, with both Carter Efe and Portable exchanging threats and bold claims ahead of the showdown.

Portable, also known as the “Zazoo” crooner, had earlier expressed confidence in securing a third victory, having previously defeated actors Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington in similar celebrity boxing matches.

However, once the fight began, Carter Efe took control, leveraging his height and reach advantage to dominate exchanges throughout all three rounds. His technical approach and composure inside the ring proved too much for Portable, who struggled to match his pace.

At the end of the contest, all three judges scored the fight 27–30 in favour of Carter Efe, confirming his status as the new celebrity boxing champion.
