The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced plans to release the second batch of results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) before the end of Saturday.
The update was shared by the board’s Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, in a post on his official X account. He reassured candidates who sat for the examination on Friday, April 17, that their results would be made available later the same day.
“The results of the UTME conducted on Friday, 17 April 2026, will be released before midnight today,” Benjamin stated.
According to him, JAMB will issue an official notice once the results are released, while further updates will also be communicated through his social media page.
The announcement comes shortly after the board released results for candidates who participated in the examination on Thursday. On that day, a total of 632,788 candidates were able to access their scores.
The 2026 UTME, which commenced nationwide on Thursday, is expected to accommodate more than two million candidates sitting for the exam across accredited computer-based test centres nationwide.
With the staggered release of results, JAMB continues its effort to ensure a smooth and transparent process for candidates across the country.
